February 27 - Announcement Photos

We had been pictures off for weeks, we were just too busy. well, we finally decided on February 27th at 4 pm. My best friend and photographer, Mallory, told us to meet her behind the police station off I-10, there was some open land and trees. Well, on our way to meet her she gave us new directions down a dirt road.

We pulled up and she informed us that she found the cutest little "town" to take our pictures but there a locked gate... We decided let's just do it! So we crossed climed through two barbed wire fences and hiked across a field of knee-deep weeds...all in my wedges and white pants! However, I must say she knew what she was doing. It was all worth it!

I was nervous about Michael staying interested and keeping a smile during the hour-long photoshoot, but he was a gem. He was coming up with ideas and couldn't stop hugging and kissing me! It was adorable.

It was pretty windy, but between that and the journey it took to get in there, it was an experience I'll never forget! To leave, we opted for hopping the metal gate rather than hiking across the field again!

Mallory took over 200 pictures, so we had a very hard time deciding on one we wanted to use for the announcement. They have been ordered and are on their way - should be addressed and sent to our family and friends very soon! So excited...
